5 Reasons Your Life is Better When Focusing on Synergy

Google defines synergy as the interaction or cooperation of two or more organizations, substances, or other agents to produce a combined effect greater than the sum of their separate effects.

In my business, I work with both for-profit and non-profit businesses.  Non-profit organizations rely heavily on donors and for-profit businesses desire leads, prospects, and more revenue. How can I connect them together?  This last week, a few of my clients came together over lunch to figure out how we could all work together. We now have a plan to help provide more funds for the non-profit and many more leads to each of the businesses. This is synergy. There is much more work to do but there is excitement as we all work to benefit each other toward a common mission.

I am a firm believer in Synergy in your business, career, and even personal life. The connections, efficiency, and potential growth are boundless.

Here are five reasons synergy is important in work and life.

1. Everyone Wins

It is much easier when all people involved receive a benefit for their time and money. Why not figure out a way everyone wins.

2. It is Fun

How much better do you feel when you bring people together to become a friend or to help each other achieve their goals and mission.

3. It is Easier

Life is simply easier when there is synergy. The organic nature of the relationship solves many of the problems.

4. You Accomplish More Faster

Who doesn’t want to be efficient and get more done? When you have synergy, you also have teamwork. The team where everyone is working toward a common goal will produce more than you can individually.

5. Increased Success

The more connectedness and synergy you have, the more successful you will be.  The more people you impact with value does come back eventually. Below is a great quote on this.

Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant.”Robert Louis Stevenson
